Kingston Grammar School's latest exam results have been incredible.
Kingston Grammar School students exceed expectations with another excellent set of A Level results
As the first cohort to sit externally moderated examinations since 2019, this year’s A Level students have shown tremendous determination and commitment to their studies in what has been a challenging landscape.
Behind every statistic is an exciting future for each student, the result of much hard work and focus. We are very proud of the resilience shown by them all, especially in the face of such uncertainty around examinations, grading and university places. Their unfailing commitment has paid off with over 90% taking up places at their first or second choice university at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, a remarkable figure given the national trend and fierce competition this year.
Particular honours go to the 17 students who achieved an incredible clean sweep of A*s: Samuel Arwas, Amelia Barnes, Charlie Canning, Alice Cassidy, Anna Duggan, James Fairhurst, Lucas Griffin, Nick Long, Marcus Merritt, Jordan Miao, Alex Middleton, Heerthana Peterarulthas, Freddie Pflanz, Finlay Pickrell, Sebastian Rugina, Harry Wilkinson and James Don Wauchope.
Sophie Farrell is taking up a place at Somerville College, Oxford, to read Law. She is joined by Nick Long at Hertford College, Oxford, reading Chemistry and Jordan Miao at Trinity College, Oxford, also reading Chemistry. Freddie Pflanz will take up a place at New College, Oxford to read PPE. Ed Knight will read History at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge.
We are particularly pleased by the unusually broad range of interests shown by KGS students, which is reflected in many of their university course choices. These include: Cara Fraser (Aerospace Engineering at Bath), Lucy Hicks (Automotive Engineering at Loughborough), Douggie Bradley (Linguistics at York) and Jacob Eley and Andriy Novak (Motorsport Engineering at Oxford Brookes and Coventry respectively). Anna Pryse-Davies takes up a place to read Liberal Arts at Birmingham while Harry Wilkinson goes on to study 3D Animation & Visual Effects at Hertfordshire and Hal Purton is off to study Illustration at Edinburgh.

At a time of such uncertainty, I could not be prouder of this group of students for their positivity and resilience.
