Academically, our Sixth Form is very strong. Students choose from 26 subjects at A level, and are encouraged to enhance their knowledge and range of interests through independent study.
Upper Sixth Form students attend a fortnightly lecture from a diverse range of speakers covering a variety of topics, and the Lower Sixth Form students can participate in the Academic Enrichment programme where they undertake options such as an Extended Project Qualification, Critical Thinking, an introductory Italian course, French DELF Qualification, an Introduction to Thermodynamics, and the ILM Leadership & Management qualification.
We are renowned for our success in Hockey and Rowing, and for our superb Music, Art and Drama departments.
However, all students are given the opportunity to excel in their chosen areas of interest, and to find their place in the School and outside communities by undertaking voluntary Community Service. Sixth Form students are role models within the School, and ambassadors outside it. It is expected that they rise to the challenge, and set a good example for the younger students in their commitment, dress and demeanour.
We hope that past students look back on their time in the Sixth Form with fondness, and see it as a pivotal point in their education where they developed the resilience, life skills and personal qualities to be articulate, well-informed and independent individuals.
