Dominic Raab MP visits Kingston Grammar School
Students in Years 8 and 9 at Kingston Grammar School today welcomed the Conservative MP for Esher and Walton, Dominic Raab, who was visiting the School to meet them and discuss his work as a politician.
Mr Raab fielded a colourful and diverse range of questions from enthusiastic students who were keen to hear his views on issues as diverse as Brexit, the ageing population, knife crime and Extinction Rebellion.
He said, “I’ve received a really warm welcome from Kingston Grammar School students today and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and taking their questions.”
KGS Head Master Stephen Lehec added, “I’m delighted Mr Raab was able to find the time, as a busy MP, to come and talk to us about various aspects of the current political situation and, notably, to articulate the students’ role in helping to shape their future. It demonstrates a great willingness to reach out to all ages, and across party lines, something that is increasingly important in modern politics. I’m sure they will have been inspired to play an even greater role in society.”
