Kingston Grammar School is extremely proud of all the students who have received Oxbridge offers for 2018 entry.
Securing offers at Cambridge University are Will Touzet to read Engineering at Homerton, Vivek Haria to read Music at Gonville & Caius, Hannah Cowie to read Classics at Murray Edwards and Caitlin Arnold to read Geography at Robinson. Holding offers at Oxford University are Fiona Kennedy to read English and History at St Hilda’s, Kate Jarvis to read Medicine at Lady Margaret Hall and Charlie Perry to read Chemistry at University College.
Kate Jarvis (Medicine at LMH) commented:
I’m really pleased to be offered a place at Oxford to study Medicine and I’m just so relieved that the waiting is over!” Vivek Haria (Music at Gonville & Caius) said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed studying Music here at KGS and I’m so pleased to be able to continue to study it at Cambridge; I can’t wait to start.
Mr Anthony Fitzgerald, Director of Careers & Universities, said:
We are delighted with how well our students have done. This is a great achievement for these particular students, and very much down to their hard work and absolute enthusiasm for their respective subject areas. We are looking forward to further good news in relation to additional university offers, in a range of areas such as Medicine, Engineering, Languages, Humanities and PPE at internationally high performing universities over the coming weeks.
Head Master Stephen Lehec commented:
I am very pleased for all the students concerned and the staff who have worked closely with them over the past few years, instilling an intrinsic love of learning in their respective disciplines. They have worked hard and their success is well deserved. It’s also important to remember that these and all of the KGS Upper Sixth will not only succeed academically but that they have all made exceptional contributions to the School and, more importantly, the wider community during their time at Kingston Grammar School.
