Radio 4 'Archers' actor Stephen Kennedy becomes 'Actor-in-Residence' at Kingston Grammar School

Kingston Grammar School has appointed BBC Radio 4 The Archers actor Stephen Kennedy as its ‘Actor-in-Residence’ to support the burgeoning Drama Department. At present, Stephen Kennedy is a regular character on The Archersplaying Ian Craig.

A highly experienced actor, Stephen has an exceptional body of work in theatre, television, film and radio. His television work includes Silent Witness, Casualty, A Touch of Frost, The Bill and Ballykissangel and he has worked for the BBC, Thames Television, Channel 4 and Carlton Television. He has also appeared in a number of films including Private Peaceful, Notes on a Scandal and Braveheart.

In theatre, he has worked with many acclaimed directors including Trevor Nunn, Deborah Warner, Katie Mitchell, Fiona Shaw, Nicholas Hytner, Simon Reade and Michael Boyd. He has performed at the National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Young Vic, Barbican, Royal Court, The Old Vic and The Rose Theatre, Kingston. Nationally, he has performed at The Manchester Royal Exchange, Bristol Old Vic, Royal Shakespeare Company and The Liverpool Playhouse.

Stephen Kennedy said:

The KGS Drama Department has an excellent reputation with first-class amenities including the Michael Frayn Theatre which is a celebrated NTLive venue. It goes without saying that I’m really looking forward to working with the staff and students and of course I’m keen to share my many acting experiences with them all while learning from them too.
