The most outstanding institutions that the independent sector has to offer have been recognised in the 2021 AMCIS IMPACT Awards. The awards seek to celebrate campaigns which have made a significant impact on a school and its community.
This week, AMCIS (Admissions, Marketing and Communications in Independent Schools) announced that Kingston Grammar School had been awarded the 2021 Branding IMPACT Award. In 2020, the Marketing Department embarked on a rebranding journey of the Sixth Form, creating a bold and impactful ‘True Colours’ campaign to emphasise the individuality of the School’s 16+ provision and appeal to the target audience of prospective students.
Director of Marketing and Admissions Alison Williams said, “We are thrilled to have won this award. The bold decision to evolve the marketing campaign that distinguished our Sixth Form from the rest of the school was a huge success. We are honoured to receive this acknowledgement from AMCIS.”
The AMCIS judges commented: “This is an absolutely exemplary piece of work. Every message and every design element is singing in harmony. You are left in absolutely no doubt about what KGS stands for, and that it is a place for everyone, in line with their stated objective. The audience of teenagers seeking a sixth form has been clearly defined and the valuable involvement of relevant stakeholders in both strategy and execution has ensured this is a cohesive, compelling campaign.”
