The Independent Schools’ Admissions, Marketing and Communications (AMCIS) Awards recognise and celebrate campaigns which have made a significant impact on a member school and its community. After winning the AMCIS Branding Award in 2021, this year we are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for three awards: The Digital Impact Award, The Branding Impact Award and The Admissions Award.

The Digital Impact Award

#ItsGreatToBeAtKGS was a marketing initiative to celebrate the opportunities, spirit, values and palpable happiness experienced by all that enjoy being part of the Kingston Grammar School community. Our key objective was to ensure that our marketing campaign communicated the scale of our offer at KGS to prospective families with an innovative, forward-thinking campaign that would take our future students from the process of enquiry to acceptance into our amazing school and exceed previous registration figures at all entry points in a competitive south-west London marketplace.

The Branding Impact Award

The #MoreThanJustASixthForm brand refresh aimed to promote the additional benefits offered beyond our academic curriculum. The final two years of post-16 secondary education allows students time to develop and grow as people; at KGS we aim to help every individual seize that opportunity whilst learning new skills. The use of pop art-style designs was chosen to complement a vivid colour palette to attract attention. Studying at KGS is not just about academic results: alongside the academic curriculum, we provide a comprehensive programme of life skills, community service, career guidance, additional super-curricular opportunities and unique networking with our spectacular alumni body. Combined, they provide our students with the opportunities and platform to prepare them for the world beyond school.

As a popular, academically selective school, our key objective was to generate awareness and promote our offer to a diverse cohort of prospective students that value an education at KGS for their final two years of secondary education. 

The Admissions Award

The ‘KGS – Your Journey Starts Here’ induction programme has been a resounding success in improving the customer experience between acceptance and enrolment. By understanding the needs of our demographic, we were able to design effective induction and transition events that put parents and children at ease and fostered a sense of belonging and connection to Kingston Grammar School starting at the point of acceptance.
