“KGS don’t just talk about innovation; they make it happen. This is a world first, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the finished result.” Simon Noakes, founder of Interactive Schools
Kingston Grammar School has today launched a groundbreaking, state-of-the-art website. Working alongside award-winning global marketing agency Interactive Schools, KGS has taken the usual virtual interaction between user and host to a higher, more sophisticated level. The culmination of lengthy research and development, the new website is a responsive grid-style platform which has full mobile optimisation. With the homepage being updated throughout the day via live social media feeds, each element tells a story about the school to intrigue, interest and inspire users.
Simon Noakes commented: “KGS has raised the bar in school website design and vision. We always look to integrate #SchoolStories into our digital experiences but KGS wanted to go further. The landing grid experience is immersive, giving users an insight into what daily school life is like.”
Interactive tiles host student profiles, interesting facts about the school, alumni profiles, video footage from a typical classroom, on-demand video footage of academic departments, interviews with students and staff, drone footage from the sports fields and samples of music created and performed by students. There is also the option to take a virtual school tour with KGSlive on demand and field questions directly to specific departments.
Head Master Stephen Lehec said: “As a school, it is only right we should always seek to be at the vanguard of technical innovation. With our new website, we aim to encapsulate the spirit of KGS whilst communicating the breadth and depth of learning, activities and personalities that make KGS the extraordinary school that it is.”
