"Is There a Doctor in The House?"

Is There a Doctor in The House?"  is a four-session programme aimed at Year 12 students who wish to read Medicine at university.

It will highlight some of the key challenges that students will face through the process, and will provide them with practical advice on managing the application process and strengthening their position as a potential medic.

The course will explore personal statements, volunteering, work experience and medical ethics, and will involve specialist support, peer mentoring and one-to-one mentoring.

Autumn Term:

Tuesday 12th November 2019

(4.30 - 6.00pm)

This introductory session will provide an overview of some of the key areas to consider when applying for Medicine.  It will dispel some of the myths about applying to be a doctor.  This session will offer clear advice on how to get on a Medicine course, together with related courses in other health professions.
